The Company

Oriental Events (Oriental Leisure Co Ltd.) is a Thailand based Destination Management Company/ Event Organizer who provide quality MICE services throughout the country. Formed in January 2002, with head office in Phuket, Oriental Events is a fully limited Thai company, recognized and licensed by the Tourist Authority of Thailand. From the initial planning stage through to completion of the event, we offer a full in-house service to assist with Conferences, Meetings, Corporate Events and Incentive Travel. We firmly believe that with our commitment to both quality of service and staff, are THE most important factors in our success. All events managers, guides, and staff have been carefully selected and trained to ensure our clients’ needs are met to the full. The company was formed by Worapot Srabua and Bill Owen, Two veterans in the country's hospitality industry.

Khun Worapot, comes from a hotel back ground, specialising in F & B.  Was formerly F&B director and senior manager in many of Thailand's leading hotels and working in the areas of catering, special events and production,  - with extensive periods at The Oriental Bangkok, and Baan Taling Ngam (Formerly Le Royal Meridien), Worapot brings with him over 25 years experience in 5 star resorts. Worapot's responsibilities within the company lie in overseeing all operations, as well as all planning and production of the major events and conferences.

Bill Owen, comes with his background in the tour operations of the “MICE” industry in Thailand and Indochina. In the late 1980's/early 1990's he pioneered the development of Phuket’s incentive travel industry, and more latterly between 1998 - 2003, as one of the senior managers for Diethelm Events – one of Thailand’s leading tour operators, responsible for the product development for all "up country areas" where I worked extensively in both Northern and Southern Thailand. His specific areas of responsibilty in Oriental Leisure, lie in the areas product development, team building, as well as designing the company's specialist “adventure style” incentive programmes which are now famous for here on the island.

Accommodation and Conference Selection & Contracting
Due to our wide range of contacts throughout the country - We can offer some of the best rates available for the running of meetings/conferences and corporate events.
We are also able to offer a very intimate and "insider" knowledge of all major “MICE” and 5 star properties.

Production, Planning and Design –Staging, event setup and design, staging/conference backdrops, banner production, floral decoration, we offer total event set up and design. Having a full in house production team, we are able to not only cater for all event needs, but as importantly, able to therefore have full control on all aspects of the budgets, production and quality. A Villa opening, A full conference set up, cocktail reception/welcome dinner, to the grandest and most elegant Gala/Farewell dinner – our design set up teams are at home in all settings.

Audio visual Design and Supply. With a Fully in-house audio, visual and lighting systems as well as technical equipment and supporting staff. Please call us for all lighting, audio visual and technical support for all sizes of event.

Entertainment - Agents for European DJs, Thai dancers, magicians, bands and music and entertainment to suit all forms of events.

The catering specialists in upcountry Thailand.  Whether deluxe cocktails and dinner party for 20 in a Phuket Villa, A Beach Party on Samui for 300, deluxe cocktails/dinner for 200 served in a classic country house in Chiang Mai, or even a simple on board cocktail party in Krabi. Largest off site dinner on Phuket - 850 people for Infineon Corp in the grounds of an Old family House in Phuket Town.
Equipment Hire – (Phuket only) Marquees, banquet tables and chairs, glass and table wear and all forms of catering equipment from our large supply of professional equipment.
