Who we are?
DIRECTORS
Worapot Subua – Formerly Executive Assistant Manager and F& B Director of the Thavorn Hotels Group in Phuket. Khun Worapot was responsible for all special projects for the group, including the successful launching and operation of their successful Chinese Junk dinner cruises as well as all their outside catering activities.
Previously Worapot, with an extensive hotel background at Dusit Hotels, Oriental Hotel Bangkok, and prior to joining the Thavorn Group – was F& B Director at the Deluxe five star - Baan Thaling Ngam on Ko Samui for several years.
Worapot is the company’s MD, and is responsible for the overall operations and running of all major events, where his vast experience in the meetings, catering and production side of the business is certainly invaluable to all our clients
Worapot brings over 25 years experience in the Hotel and Catering industry, most of which was gained in some of the country’s best 5 star deluxe resorts. |
Bill Owen – a veteran in Thailand’s MICE Industry. Formerly a Manager of Diethelm Events, Thailand’s leading Destination Management company, he was responsible for all company activities in “upcountry” areas of Thailand – Phuket, Ko Samui, Krabi and the northern Thai centers of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
Prior to working with Diethelm Travel – Bill established and ran his own company – The Travel Company for over 10 years. A specialist Phuket based ground operator, working closely with many major SE Asian corporate clients and Events management companies.
Bill is responsible for company’s sales and marketing, product and business development and brings with him almost 20 years of direct experience in Destination and Events management throughout the whole of Thailand. |
FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Kantima – Eed is the Company’s Financial controller – responsible to all accounting and administrative procedures, Eed comes from a hotel industry back ground which started as a graduate from the Dusit Hotel institute, and later worked in the F&B departments of the Dusit Laguna and Rayawadi Krabi, before moving on to head up guest services at the Baan Taling Ngam . Khun Eed is also one of the company’s founding partners. Eed is often also seen assisting with the set up floral displays of many of our events, as like many of our staff – she has been also trained in other aspects of our business and enjoys the design side of the operation also.

GENERAL MANAGER
Jirada Suanpon – “Thip”, a long term travel executive on the island comes with a wealth of experience and talent within the travel industry. Formerly “Thip” was GM of Sealand Co Ltd, and previously worked for Diethelm Events as Sales and Marketing Manager on the island, and handled many large international corporate clients all over the country.
“Thip” brings with her a vast knowledge of both local and National DMC and Ground Handling, and is brought into Oriental Events to strengthen our Management Team. |
EVENTS DIRECTOR
Mahesh L. Malani – Nothing expresses and reflects the professionalism of a creatively well planned event and a capable Emcee and Team Building facilitator. He worked in sales and become a trainer in the company in London. He worked in Macdonald’s for several years in the marketing division. He has been running his own design and printing in graphic, props and event company for 12 years with over 40 staff.
Mahesh, is a great and lively facilitator and event director, he currently works in developing more meaningful team building activity through experiential learning for the MICE industry |
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Taew – Khun Taew the company’s hard working operations manager started her career as supervisor and later manager of H2O Sports, one of the island’s premier dive companies. Before moving on to a senior management position with Banyan Resorts, where she was responsible for the establishment of Banyan Tree Galleries in Japan, Maldives, Singapore and Indonesia The resort’s luxury retail outlet. Taew is often seen on site personally handling all the larger operational roles of the company.

DESIGNER
Kae – Our full time designer, who in conjunction with Khun Worapot, and the rest of our design team, ensures we are able to offer the best in in-house event design. Previously he worked with some of Phuket and Bangkok’s leading print companies, he has an art and design background, qualified in one of the country’s leading universities

CUSTOMERS SERVICE & RECREATION MANAGER
Nu – Our Activities co-ordinator, responsible for the coordination and production of all our team building and corporate adventure programmes. Nu’s particular favorite being the company/s Thai cross bow challenge and Thai Boxing. One of the island’s most experienced staff and is a mine of information on suppliers and specialists within the industry. Before joining the company “Nu” was Activity and Sports Manager for many years at the Sheraton and also worked for other 5 star resorts in a similar capacity. “Nu” also assists as company co-ordinator and representative for all major client inspections.

SENIOR MANAGEMENT
Prasit Narkphan - One of the most experienced and innovative Chefs in Phuket, who has worked in many major resorts both in Thailand and Overseas.
Khun Prasit has now joined us as our Culinary and O/side Catering Advisor. His vast knowledge and experience within the industry greatly assists
in our innovative menu selections as well as overall organisation of all outside catered events. Prasit also was President of the Culinary Circle of South Thailand and also sits on the organising committee for FEDEX - Phuket's premier Commercial Catering Exhibition - which held annually and one of the largest catering exhibitions in Thailand. |
